Italian luxury brand Gucci have today announced the launch of their Gucci Tennis Special Collection, shot by photographer Luke Abby for CircleZeroEight Issue 05.
Inspired by archival designs from the 1970s, the capsule sees streamlined dresses, elegant polo shirts, and a number of matching sets for both men and women. Stylish accessories are introduced, such as caps and wristbands – plus a selection of leather goods, including a new duffle bag, racquet backpack, racquet bag, and a shoe holder, perfect for the iconic Tennis 1977 sneaker in white canvas and leather, reintroduced for this collection.
Running throughout the collection is the signature House stripe of deep red and green, which infuses the designs with a nod to Gucci’s storied history as a brand associated with the sport, starting in the 1970s and continuing through into the 1980s, when tennis ready-to-wear was introduced in addition to the brand’s iconic trainers.
The Gucci Tennis collection is now available at select stores globally featuring exclusive displays in Milan, London and Paris, as well as online at gucci.com.
