Aries collaborates with Umbro for a second time, focusing on rugby-inspired fashion. Drawing from the gritty, nostalgic spirit of rugby fields, the collection and campaign blend traditional elements with Aries’ signature dyeing techniques. Award-winning photographer Elaine Constantine captures the essence of the collaboration.
The Aries x Umbro capsule collection features five unique pieces, including two classic rugby shirts, cotton drill track pants, cotton drill shorts, and rugby socks in neon and deep navy. The designs showcase sun-bleached fades, embroidered Aries graphics, and a fusion of pagan and preppy aesthetics.
The collection boasts classic block stripes with patchy over-dye and sun-bleached fade treatment, along with subtly faded Aries Temple repeat prints. The Umbro rugby crest incorporates vintage flair, mystic undertones, and cult-inspired elements.
Elaine Constantine, an acclaimed film director and photographer, captures the campaign’s spirit. Known for her vivid depictions of British youth culture in renowned publications like The Face and Vogue, Elaine’s photography highlights Aries’ street casting and local East London rugby teams from Hackney Rugby Club.
