Aries and White Claw have partnered to create a captivating collaboration, showcasing the spirit of Biarritz’s surf scene and skate culture. French photographer David Ledoux lends his talent to the project, capturing the essence of the vibrant coastal town on France’s Basque coast.
The capsule collection features four distinct pieces, including a unisex crew neck sweatshirt and sweat shorts made from brushed-back jersey fleece. Aries’ renowned tie-dye detailing in shibori-style rings adorns the pieces, along with classic black and white short and long sleeve tees in cotton jersey, accentuated by tie-dye accents.
The collection’s black and white photography draws inspiration from Ledoux’s previous work on the Gnarly project, shot in Biarritz alongside local skaters and surfers. These captivating images will be exhibited at the Aries Soho Store from May 25th to June 5th, 2023, inviting the public to experience the energy of the surf and skate culture through Ledoux’s lens.
Ledoux’s journey from photojournalism to fashion photography has granted him a unique perspective, allowing him to capture subjects in their authentic state. Using analogue techniques, he experiments with light and movement, creating stunning visuals that embody his artistic vision.
