C.P. Company has today been announced as the Official Style Fashionwear Partner of the Manchester City men’s team for the 2024/25 season. The move highlights the bond between the Italian sportswear brand and the terraces, with Mancunians in particular harbouring a longstanding love affair with the fashion and culture of C.P. Company, from the Casuals of the 1980s in Northern England through to the present day.
The partnership will see City players, coaching staff, and executive management sport specially designed C.P. Company apparel – including a customised version of the iconic Goggle Jacket – to and from the stadium on UEFA Champions League match days. All items from the collection are tailored in both the Italian brand’s quintessential dark blue, and the Premier League club’s iconic light blue.
To celebrate the partnership, a poem by artist and writer John Joseph Holt has been commissioned, alongside a film starring notable figures in the C.P. Company and Manchester City FC communities, including former footballer Shaun Goater, and Campbell Hatton, son of boxer Ricky. Spotlighting this shared community ethos, the Bolognese brand is also supporting the Cityzens in the Community Healthy Goals programme, which will see the renovation of three community and school pitches. Of the relationship, the Vice President Global Partnership Sales at City Football Group Kaitlyn Beale said: “We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with C.P. Company today. Both Manchester City and the Italian brand play a key role in football culture in the UK and beyond, with passionate followers and a shared commitment to embracing new trends and innovation. We’re looking forward to working with C.P. Company over the coming seasons”.
“Our partnership represents an exciting journey from Bologna to Manchester, where two visions, inspired by the same values, harmoniously merge”, said Lorenzo Osti, the President of C.P. Company. “The aesthetic symbolism of the C.P. Company Goggle Jacket has become an icon for football fans, a project where sporting aspiration embraces and keeps its roots alive”.
