Today we’re pleased to announce a new team structure, ushering in the next chapter of growth at Circle08 Media.
Gary Armstrong leaves his previous role as Editor, into a newly created position of Creative Marketing Officer – where he’ll oversee all the commercial aspects of the Circle08 Media brand across print, digital, and brand partnerships. Armstrong will continue to work closely with the editorial team to conceptualise and build creative and commercial storytelling through the CZ8 lens.
Stepping into the role of Editor is Lauren Cochrane – who was previously part of the CZ8 family as Contributing Editor – who will bring a new energy and dynamism, driving the print magazine with her experience in the publishing and fashion worlds, as well as her firm passion for sports. Cochrane will guide the editorial direction of the magazine alongside Editor-in-Chief Elgar Johnson and the rest of the team during this new era.
India Bailey – who previously held the title of Wellness Editor – will take on the newly created role of Deputy Editor, continuing to cover all things wellness whilst also taking a broader approach to her role, bringing her expertise in fitness to the fore and expanding the brands offering in these sectors.
Art O’Neill joins the team as Editorial Assistant, working across all aspects of the brand to aid in the creation of both print and digital content
Of the new appointments, Johnson said: “It’s a really exciting time for CircleZeroEight magazine and for Circle08 Media as we continue to grow and evolve and these appointments reflect this. I’m delighted for Lauren to be joining us as Editor – she brings a wealth of experience, and all the qualities necessary to be a great editor and leader”.
“I am thrilled to be taking on the role of CMO”, Armstrong said, “utilising my fifteen-plus years of editorial and publishing experience to explore new methods of commercial partnerships and creative collaborations. The new team structure welcomes a new chapter for Circle08 Media, as we implement growth plans through 2024 and beyond”.
Cochrane said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at CircleZeroEight. I’ve loved watching what Elgar, Gary, and the team have produced for the last three years and being involved as a Contributing Editor. I am looking forward to being more involved in issues from now on”.
