CZ8’s Fashion team pick this week’s top eight (well, nine actually, but who is counting?) moments from Earth’s fashion weeks.
Labrum London
Regardless of who you support, you can’t deny that Arsenal are becoming the most stylish team in the Premiership with their impressive brand partnerships and away kit collaborations, one being with Foday Dumbuya of Labrum London – the designer behind the current 24/25 away jersey.
The Emirates Stadium touchline was converted into a runway for the Labrum SS25 collection – stepping foot anywhere on the pitch is strictly forbidden!
The show opened with a spoken word monologue performed by Ghetts and Foday’s models walked in his signature tailoring tropes, West African Inspired prints and a new Adidas sneaker collab was debuted! The casting represented Foday’s vision of London with cameo’s from the likes of Declan Rice, Clara Amfo and Mawaan Rizwan – all of whom are descendants of immigrants.

Ralph Lauren
A Ralph Lauren show in The Hamptons – Does it get any more quintessentially American and Ralph Lauren than this! As for the clothes, it was simply Ralph doing what he does best – sharp dinner suits and evening dresses, preppy polo looks, nautical and western influences that are all part of Ralph’s world of timeless New York sophistication. A highlight was Naomi Campbell looking effortlessly elegant in a white Polo track top and baseball cap.

Olly Shinder
Olly Shinder’s show was strong and powerful. Leaning into the fetish and rave gear references that he does so well, whilst also imagining the “queering of everyday workwear uniforms”. The casting by Isabel Bush was fantastic.

Dior
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s new collection for Dior referenced the Olympic Games whilst Italian performance artist and competitive archer Sagg Napoli fired off arrows alongside the models. It as a mix technical and sports fabrication with couture technique.

Hermès
Presented at La Garde Républicaine, the Hermès SS25 collection was truly giving quiet luxury, versatility and craftsmanship. Nadège Vanhée balanced the house’s heritage with contemporary design elements, which included structured leather jackets and jumpsuits paired with delicate knits and mesh. Though the majority of the show hosted neutral and earthy tones, we saw a few pops of pink which was a welcome surprise for the eye. This subtle shift to modernity can be felt with the inclusion of cropped tops, low cut trousers and modular skirts which added freshness without losing Hermès’ core identity.

Issey Miyake
“The Beauty of Paper”, Issey Miyake’s SS25 collection explored the use of traditional Japanese washi paper, and was blended with fabrics such as cotton and wool, to create innovative and unique textiles. It featured playful designs, like displaced necklines and origami-inspired silhouettes that brought movement and dimension to the garments (I am still thinking about the white see-through suit) . Sustainability was a felt theme here, with biodegradable materials highlighting the brand’s eco-consciousness. The collection offered a harmonious blend of traditional components, forward-thinking creativity, personality and one of a kind pieces — In my opinion, Issey is always on point.

PRADA
The SS25 collection was inspired by the TikTok and doom scroll culture of today. The show was made up of many different elements taken for the Prada archive and presented in a completely random order, having a discombobulating effect on the audience.
I love the pops of bright colours, google hats and quirky wired stand up collars. All the outfits seemed slightly off winking at the idea they could of even been created by AI.

GUCCI
Sabato De Sarno inspired by his muse Jackie O invites you to live in the moment!
This show was an homage to the 60’s showcasing thigh skimming hem lines, archival print headscarves and amazing sequined disco ball like dresses.
I love the pops of chartreuse, the enviable full leather looks, cool cut out biker gloves and the remix of the iconic 1947 Bamboo handled bags, one of my favourites.

Fendi
Fendi’s SS25 collection transported us back to the roaring 20s, even more specifically 1925 when the boutique first opened its doors.
In preparation for the brand’s 100th birthday Kim Jones showcased an array of the most beautiful sheer, drop waist and flapper style dresses, which would make anyone want to get up and dance, embodying the Fendi woman!
I love beautiful beige and pale blue colour pallet, all the amazing intricate details as well as the super cute knitted shorts!
