Mountaineer and adventurer Kristin Harila is no stranger to breaking records, but her most recent feat might just be her most staggering yet. The Norwegian climber and Bremont ambassador has broken the world record for climbing the 14 highest peaks in the world in one season – in an extraordinary three months, 20 hours, and 45 minutes (92 days in total).

Taking in mountains such as Everest, K2, and Kangchenjung, Harila and her climbing partner Lama (Tenjin Sherpa) beat the previous record by three months and five days.

Harila had intended to complete the feat last year, but was unable to secure permits to climb the Chinese mountains Cho Oyu and Shishapangma, which forced her to stop at 12 of the 14 peaks. Undeterred, she returned this year, and showing great strength and determination managed to conquer all 14.

Davide Cerrato, Bremont’s CEO, said of the achievement: “Kristin’s spirit, perseverance, and fortitude is an incredible inspiration, and I hope that we can all take something from witnessing her achieve the seemingly impossible, being inspired to enjoy a life of adventure and pushing ourselves beyond our limits. We would like to wish both Kristin and Tenjin Sherpa a heartfelt congratulations and we’re incredibly proud to have been with them on this journey”.
