Designed by Givenchy’s studio team, the collection cleansed the palette, looking back through the archive and taking inspiration from house founder Hubert de Givenchy. Showcasing beautiful outerwear in signature silhouettes and gorgeous gowns, the collection encapsulates the Parisian elegance the brand is so well known for and paves the way for the new creative. I particularly loved spotting the hidden cats in the sequins.

Issey Miyake’s show saw a sea of beautiful colours in a brilliant setting, under the theme ‘What has Always Been’. My favourite: the fun headpieces and creative styling – full of draping, layering, folding, and twisting. The show had a playfulness and creativity which is so original to the brand – you’re never not surprised by what they do next.

Age really is just a number. Miuccia did it again with a stellar, eclectic cast and a runway full of intriguing ensembles. The show took inspiration from the journey of childhood to adulthood. I particularly loved the way wardrobe staples were taken to the next level, and the fun twist on school uniforms. As always I am in love!

Hermès

Hermès

This collection featured beautiful soft leathers in a colour palette, of bold reds, aubergines, butter yellows and chocolate browns. I enjoyed the rebellious side of the traditional Hermès woman, brought out in the studded leathers and big boots – she’s ready for it all.

Inspired by the objects of the crazy rich and set lavishly in a Parisian chateau, JW Anderson let the outsiders look into a world they may never experience: that of the aristocrat.  I loved this playful nod to high society, with the gaudy prints and kitschy beaded animal being my particular favourite.

Gucci

Gucci

All eyes on a mouth-watering colour palette with a nod to the sixties. The focus on quality is highlighted by the luxurious fabrics and techniques, with a range of stunning knits and intricate lacework. The horse riding-style boots paired with the super short skirts and sheer slips left a real mark on me.

Matthieu Blazy is looking at how to make a monument out of everyday clothing, stripping back the embellishments and embroideries, to create real, functioning clothes. The two-toned fringing was a real stand out from a collection full of impressive craftsmanship and amazing silhouettes and textures.

This collection said “wild at heart”, with a fantastic mix of prints. I love the rebellious, free feeling of it – the  attention to detail and couture craftsmanship is unmissable, with the chainmail gown the exceptional standout.
